The duo approaches food as “a sort channel to think about oneself, the social and cultural environment and their dynamic interactions”.
Their research problematized the de-historicization and delocalisation of food to the benefit of large international lobbies on a political, cultural and economical level.
They believe firmly that “food could be the most sincere and powerful means to create possible futures”. Their practice “wants to highlight the urgency to create the Anthropocene effect that is incarnated in our food experience”.
For Occupy the kitchen! they will present the performance “On Plate – Frozen Ideologies”.

Il duo interpreta e tratta il cibo «come una sorta di canale per ripensare se stessi, l'ambiente sociale e culturale e le loro interazioni dinamiche».
La ricerca degli Hasdemir ha problematizzato la de-storicizzazione e la de-localizzazione del cibo negli interessi delle grandi lobby internazionali su un piano politico, culturale ed economico.
Credono fermamente che «il cibo potrebbe essere il mezzo più sincero e più potente per creare futuri possibili». La loro pratica mira a «sottolineare l'urgenza di realizzare l'effetto dell'antropocene incarnato nella nostra esperienza alimentare».
